Post Flop Overcards

Often after a preflop raise with A-K, A-Q, or another similar big-card holding, the flop will miss you completely. A very common scenario goes something like this: You make a preflop raise with A-K, get two callers, the flop comes 8-4-2, the BB checks, you bet, the third player folds, and the BB raises. What now?
