2006 World Championship of Online Poker
Online version of WSOP commences on Sept 16th.
The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is the largest poker tournament series held online. Every year host a two week extravaganza for Online Poker Players which is dubbed the online equivalent to the World Series of Poker.
This year is no different and the 2006 WCOOP will commence on September 16th and continue with 16 days of big prize poker tournaments. With a total of 18 events and a guaranteed prize pool of $10million this years event is the biggest yet overtaking last years $8million guaranteed prize pool.
This year’s WCOOP schedule see’s the introduction of Razz and HORSE poker for the first time including a $5,000 HORSE championship hosted by Team Pokerstar’s own Barry Greenstein.
The main event is the final tournament in the schedule on October 1st and will take the form of $2,500 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $3million!
Don’t let the size of the buy-ins scare you off as is giving away $1.5million worth of free seats into WCOOP events this year via their VIP club and Frequent Player Point Freerolls. Not only that but low entry fee satellites are running daily to win your seat in the WCOOP events.
As with previous years each event winner will not only take home a huge pile of cash but will also receive a champion’s gold bracelet just like at the WSOP to commemorate their win.
